Connect

You can connect Airwallex to Chargebackhit in two ways:

  1. Assisted setup: grant the Chargebackhit team access to your Airwallex account.
    The team handles the integration configuration.
  2. Independent setup: set up the integration on your own.
    You need to provide the resulting credentials in Chargebackhit HUB.

Assisted setup

Invite the Chargebackhit team as a developer user in your Airwallex account.


To invite the Chargebackhit team

  1. Go to your Airwallex account.
  2. Go to Settings > User management.
  3. Click on Invite user.
  4. Fill out the user details by setting:
    • Display name to Chargebackhit
    • Email to integrations@chargebackhit.com
    • Role to Developer
  5. Send the invitation.

After sending the invitation, contact the Chargebackhit support team to confirm the user has been created. The team completes the setup on your behalf.

Independent setup

To connect your Airwallex account to Chargebackhit independently, complete the three steps below and provide the resulting credentials in Chargebackhit HUB.

Step 1. Create scoped API key

To create an API key

  1. In your Airwallex account, go to Developer > API keys.
  2. Click on New scoped key.
  3. API key name: ChargebackHit API Key_AccountName
    Where AccountName is your own account or business name.
  4. Under Accounts, select the account you want to enable this integration for.
  5. Assign the following global permissions:
    • Billing/Invoices: Read
    • Billing/Subscriptions: Read and Write
  6. Assign the following account permissions:
    • Payment acceptance/Payment acceptance: Read and Write
    • Payment acceptance/Payment disputes: Read and Write
    • Supporting services/Upload files: Write
  7. Save the generated Client ID and API Key (Token). You need them to complete the integration.

Step 2. Create webhook

To create a webhook

Before you start, go to the Airwallex integration page in Chargebackhit HUB and enter your Client ID and API Key from Step 1. The webhook URL becomes available only after you enter these credentials. Copy the webhook URL for webhook creation.

  1. In your Airwallex account, go to Developer > Webhooks.
  2. Click on New webhook.
  3. Webhook name: ChargebackHit Webhook_AccountName
    Where AccountName is your own account or business name.
  4. Paste the copied URL into the Notification URL field.
  5. Configure the following settings:
    • API version: 2026-07-17
    • Accounts: select the account you want to enable this integration for
  6. Subscribe to the following events:
    • Refund: all
    • Payment Dispute: all
    • Payment Attempt: all
  7. Save the generated Webhook secret. You need it to complete the integration.

Step 3. Connect Airwallex to Chargebackhit

To connect Airwallex

  1. Go to your Chargebackhit HUB account.
  2. In the top menu, click on Integrations.
  3. Next to the Airwallex logo, click on Connect.
  4. Ensure Client ID and API Key are present.
    You added them in Step 2 to get the Webhook URL.
  5. Paste your Webhook secret from Step 2.
  6. Enable the features you want to use:
    • Prevention alerts
    • Dispute representment
  7. Click on Submit to complete the integration setup.
